As weird as things were getting in the world of AI, Elon Musk's company xAI has given it an even weirder and bolder twist. Under the new Companion feature of the Grok chatbot, users will now be able to create their own AI companions, and Musk claims that "each companion will be completely different and unique." Just a few days ago, xAI launched Ani, a gothic style anime girlfriend, who flirts with the user, compliments him, and also appears in a dancing avatar as the conversation progresses.
Now Musk has introduced a new male AI Companion 'Valentine', whom he describes as a mix of Twilight's Edward Cullen and Fifty Shades of Grey's Christian Grey. Valentine has been described by Musk as "serious, mysterious and dark-haired", especially for those users who want a more serious experience than Ani's cute and bubbly personality.
Who are Grok's AI Companions?
Ani- A goth-style anime girl who flirts and gets more personal over time.
Rudi- An animated red panda who is sometimes cute and cheerful, and sometimes turns into “Bad Rudi”, a foul-mouthed, taunting companion.
Valentine- A serious, mysterious, and somewhat romantic AI boyfriend.
