JIND: MP Deependra Hooda today addressed election rallies in support of Congress candidates Subhash Gangoali from Safidon, Mahabir Gupta from Jind, and Vinish Phogat from Julana. During his speech, he highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, noting that gangsters are demanding millions in ransom from jails or abroad. New gangs and underage shooters are rapidly emerging. Under BJP rule , Haryana has become a haven for criminals. Hooda pointed out that the youth of Haryana are trapped in a cycle of despair due to unemployment, which leads to drug use and crime. Unemployment is the root cause of crime and drugs, and due to the poor law and order situation, many companies have left the state.

Hooda issued an open warning to criminals and drug traffickers, stating that they have just one week to abandon their illegal activities or leave Haryana. He recalled how the previous Congress government , in 2005, eradicated crime and created a peaceful environment conducive to investment, and promised that a Congress government would again make Haryana crime-free and drug-free. MP Satpal Brahmchari was also present at the event.

Hooda addressed gatherings in the old grain market of Safidon, Dalmwala village in Jind, Ramrai village in Julana, asserting that there is a wave of support for Congress across the state. He criticized the BJP government for not delivering any significant work in the past ten years, highlighting issues like the lack of health services, drainage problems, dilapidated roads, and poor law and order that are exacerbating public woes.

He pointed out that promises made in 2019, such as the construction of a nursing college in Safidon and a girls' college in Pillukheda, remain unfulfilled. The demand for a women’s college in Julana has also not been addressed. He declared that a Congress government would resolve all public grievances in a timely manner.

Hooda appealed for votes for the Congress candidates, emphasizing that while the Congress button is one, its benefits are numerous. He announced that an IMT would be set up in Safidon to create job opportunities for the youth in both government and private sectors. He reiterated the Congress guarantees: providing women with Rs 2,000 per month, selling cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500, and offering Rs 6,000 pensions to the elderly, disabled, and widows. He promised to reinstate the old pension scheme for employees and ensure 200,000 permanent jobs through transparent recruitment. He also pledged to make Haryana drug-free , provide free electricity up to 300 units, and cover medical treatment costs up to Rs 25 lakh for families. Farmers would receive guaranteed MSP and immediate compensation for crop losses. Under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Basti Scheme, poor families would receive free plots of 100 square yards and two-room houses worth Rs 3.5 lakh through the Indira Awas Yojana. He committed to conducting a caste census and increasing the creamy layer income limit for the backward class to Rs 10 lakh.
