The Faces are moving "closer and closer" to a reunion and a live tour and album. The English rock band have not played a live tour since the death of keyboard player Ian McLagan in 2014. But they reunited for one off shows and played Stay With Me at the Brits in 2020.
Speaking in Mojo drummer Kenney Jones said: "It’s always being talked about, all the time. People want it more than we realise. So let’s put it this way, we’re getting closer and closer."
Asked if he would be up for a tour he added: "’Course. F**king right! What, are you going to rehearse for two or three weeks and just do one show? Nah. But the emotional side of it is the fact that Ronnie and Mac are not there. We were thinking, 'Who’s going to take the place of Mac?' Steve Winwood came up. It’d be lovely. Watch this space."

There is also new material set to come out with a number of songs finished. He explained: "It’s taking a long time. Basically, Woody and I have been in the studio together – he plays guitar, and I play drums to it, then Ronnie plays bass, and that’s about it, and we hang on to these ideas.
"We’ve done about 10 or 11 tracks. Some are great. Some are not. And we’re discovering [older] stuff all the time. I’ve got loads of my multi-tracks. I’ve got about 350, same with Woody.
"So we’ve got to try and go in the studio and listen to it all and be inspired by other ideas. Also, if we can get some tracks together with Ronnie [Lane] and Mac on them, even better."
The Faces were formed in 1969 and released four studio albums between 1970 and 1973.
The original lineup included: Rod Stewart on lead vocals, Ronnie Wood on lead guitar, Ronnie Lane on bass guitar, Ian "Mac" McLagan on keyboards, and Kenney Jones on drums.
Rod has gone on to become a huge solo star whilst Ronnie now plays guitar in the Rolling Stones.
In 2023 Kenney said in Uncut magazine: "Rod is going to write lyrics to some of the unreleased Faces songs, which he'll get around to one day.
“It's an on-going project that we're fitting in between the Stones’ tour and Rod's touring."
