Overnight OatsThe best part about overnight oats is that they can be inspired by desserts. You can make any type of overnight oats, whether they're peanut butter, apple crumble or packed with honey or jam.
Reema said you can make a "big batch" for the week, and oats are rich in fibre, which aids the release of GLP-1 - a hormone made synthetically for injections such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. It will signal to your brain you are full, which will also stop mid-morning snacking.
To make the oats, you just need five tablespoons of oats mixed with 200ml of milk and a couple of tablespoons of Greek yoghurt. The oats should have enough liquid to soak up. You can then add any toppings such as fruit, nuts, or seeds and leave overnight. The next morning, you can enjoy them either heated up or straight from the fridge.
Egg MuffinsIf you prefer a savoury breakfast rather than a sweet one, egg muffins are a good option. They are high in protein and low in calories which makes them the perfect breakfast for those wanting to lose weight.
You can make them in a big batch and have them throughout the week, and Reema told : "Make a large batch of an omelette mixture and then split these into muffin cases and bake. Mix in spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms for a fibre boost, plus a bit of cheese, herbs and spring onions for flavour."
For more flavour, you could add feta cheese, olives or chilli flakes, and the expert advised to use six eggs for a batch of 12 muffins and cook for around 20 minutes at 180C.
Cottage Cheese ToastCottage cheese is becoming a viral weight loss hero online at the moment, and as it's a good source of protein, it's good for keeping you full in the morning. Simplying layering it on a slice of toast a 100g serving contains 11g of protein with just 160 calories.
It's sweet yet savoury and Reema noted: "If you are at home, a speedy breakfast would be a slice of good-quality wholemeal bread or sourdough, topped with an optional half avocado mashed and a few spoons of cottage cheese. Season well with lemon, black pepper and chilli flakes. If you fancy, top with a spoon of kimchi for a spicy kick and an extra dose of gut-friendly probiotic bacteria."
