A doctor has wowed many after sharing a video of an anti-wrinkle cream in action. On YouTube, dermatologist Dr Dray explained how the cream is the 'best' that she's tried - and you can get it delivered to your front door.

In the footage, a 76-year-old woman rubs the cream onto the back of her hand and as the second pass, the skin gradually appears visibly tighter. The product being used is the Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Primer.

You can buy a tube on Amazon for £37.15. The primer's formula "instantly tightens, firms and blurs the look of skin for flawless makeup application".

One of the brand's highest rated products is its Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel. Amazon is selling a 100ml bottle for £34.66. The 'multi-action' product has an impressive customer star rating of 4.6 stars out of five, with more than 2,400 reviews.

In Dr Dray's video, she tells viewers that the Instant Firmex line of products from Peter Thomas Roth contain sodium silicate. "They way it works is as it dries down, it pulls the skin tight," she added.

Commenting on the video, she continued: "So you get a temporary skin tightening effect. There's an under eye cream that you've probably seen people try. Now this one, she's putting it on her hands, but I think it can also be used on the face.

"In my opinion , I've tried these, many of these actually. Peter Thomas Roth does it the best. But there are others out there." However, she did say: "An issue you will encounter, however, is that once it dries down, a lot of people find that it gets flaky and cakey. If you try to put makeup over it, it can be hit or miss.

"Like I said, I've tried Peter Thomas Roth Eye product, and I found it, of all of these types of sodium silicate tightening products, to be the one that performed the best as far as not getting flaky and cakey." She ended the video by reminding viewers: "This is just a temporary effect, though. Maybe a couple of hours at most."

If you're hoping to look your best for a night out or an upcoming event, using Peter Thomas Roth's Firmx Peeling Gel could be a good option for you as part of your skincare routine. On Amazon, the gel is said to "visibly exfoliate by rolling, lifting and sweeping away when massaged onto the skin as a result of physical and enzymatic mechanisms".

The gel is also designed to "help remove impurities and unclog pores for a more youthful, radiant and firm look". As for the primer, it goes on before the rest of your makeup and works to 'blur' and 'tighten' skin.

There's also Peter Thomas Roth's Anti-Ageing Cleansing Gel 'for all skin types' on Amazon. A 250ml bottle is priced at £22.99 and is best used at morning and night.

In a five star review of the primer, one shopper said: "Absolutely adore this product. Will definitely recommend & purchase again." A second put: "This covered my skin really well, although you don’t need much, and left it looking amazing. Couldn’t believe it, however, it doesn’t stop oil from coming through but didn’t expect it to. Could be an amazing upgrade though!!"

A third said: "Hides all my little flaws, including a huge scar." Jennifer wrote: "Shake it.....use about a quarter size. Rub it on your face and neck. Let it dry and BAM! Wrinkles and bags gone!!! I use the PTR original (black tube) mixed with my foundation. It does the same thing. I just wish it wasn't so expensive!"

However, Tracey claimed: "Tube felt it was full up it was near enough empty!!" Alex penned: "After applying , the skin doesn’t look refreshed and glowing. It looks dull." Tammy added: "It’s ok but too expensive for the little size you get."

Elsewhere there are plenty of other 'skin tightening' products to check out. On Sephora you can get The Inkey List's Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing and Plumping Moisturizer for £13.30 in a new deal. There's also Medik8's Advanced Night Restore on sale for £59.

Boots' No7 Restore & Renew Multi Action Day Cream is available for £28. At Superdrug, its Optimum Retinol Extra Strength Eye Cream is now half price at £7.49.
