Former Hollyoaks actor Callum Kerr has revealed his engagement to girlfriend Lauren Stacy.

The Scottish star, 30, who played PC George Kiss in the Channel 4 soap from 2020 to 2021, was involved in a storyline investigating county lines drug dealing in the village.

His character was placed at Hollyoaks High to reduce drug dealing on school premises. It was there that he met John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), and their relationship turned violent due to George's jealousy of James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) and Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), JP's ex-partners.

The real killer was never found, leading to John Paul's relapse into alcoholism. Now, three years later, Callum has delighted his 526,000 Instagram followers with cute photos announcing his proposal in South Africa.

"Took this girl on a horse ride through the Western Cape and asked if she would spend the rest of her life with me," he posted, much to his fans' joy. Former co-star Billy Price, who played Sid Sumner, was quick to congratulate the happy couple as he commented: "Congrats bro."

Back in July, Callum announced that his then girlfriend Lauren was expecting their first child together. Taking to Instagram at the time, the future dad announced the joyous news as he gushed over his other half.

"Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a dad. I can’t wait to welcome this little one into the world with my love, my angel, my partner in crime," he penned alongside a sweet snap of himself cradling his girlfriend Lauren's bump.

The soap star also shared a sweet video of their baby's scan as he gushed over becoming a first-time father. Callum's joyful baby news came after his split from his former fiancée. Eight months after their split, he and girlfriend Lauren dropped their exciting baby bombshell. Callum and his first fiancée were only engaged for 11 months before they decided to call it quits on their love story.

The actor removed all snaps of his former fiancée Olivia Anderson from his Instagram back in October, as the split was said to have been 'painful' for them both. Olivia, from Austin, Texas, met Callum back in 2016, and the pair bonded over their love of travelling before Olivia moved to the UK to be with him. The former couple then both moved to her hometown in 2021 so Callum could focus on his acting career.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Sadly things haven't worked out between Callum and Olivia and they have called it quits. It's been painful for both of them."

Meanwhile, the Scottish actor recently announced the release of his first single, having become a regular on the Nashville country music scene following his departure from the soap. The former Hollyoaks actor performed music for the soundtrack of Monarch, a Fox show he stars in alongside Susan Sarandon, Anna Friel and Beth Ditto.
