Jane McDonald cheekily issued an apology to fans on live The One Show after it was pointed out that she's marking her 25th anniversary of cruising.
The 61-year-old singer and TV presenter appeared on the BBC magazine show on Monday (September 23) alongside The Script's Danny O'Donoghue to discuss their latest projects.
Welcoming Jane to the show, Alex said: "So nice to have you with us." The former Loose Women star replied: "it's great to be here." Alex continued: "Jane, we cannot believe it is 25 years since the cruise gave us Jane McDonald."
She replied: "I'm sorry." Alex added: "No, absolutely iconic. But the thing is it could have been very different." Jane agreed: "Yeah it could have been.

"Due to a chocolate buffet. They put a chocolate buffet against my show and everybody got up and walked out to the chocolate buffet and if I knew I would have gone myself."
"I'd just got the show right but don't take anything for granted I say and you have to fail in this industry. I've failed a lot and that's in the book and the failures really. I've learned a lot the hard way."
It comes after Jane announced she's set to star in a festive production of Robin Hood, which will be staged at The London Palladium from December 7, 2024 to January 12, 2025. In a new promotional poster shared to her Instagram page, McDonald can be seen in character for the first time as Maid Marion, alongside panto royalty Julian Clary as Robin Hood.
Other cast members include Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Charlie Stemp, Rob Madge, Marisha Wallace and Tosh Wanogho-Maud. "So excited to be performing in The London Palladium’s panto as Maid Marion alongside Palladium panto royalty Julian Clary as Robin Hood," McDonald captioned the post. "Be quick if you want to book tickets - they’re flying out the door!!"
