In a heartfelt statement, the Reds acknowledged the 37-year-old goalkeeper's valuable contributions to their successes during his tenure. "A popular figure among teammates and staff alike, Adrian leaves the Reds with the best wishes of everybody at the club. Thank you for everything."

Adrian's dedication and professionalism have left a lasting impact on the club and its supporters. His achievements in his Liverpool career include playing 26 competitive first-team games and winning an impressive array of trophies, including the Premier League in 2020, two League Cups, the FA Cup, the European Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.

As he seemingly leaves searching for more game time, Liverpool fans have taken to social media to praise him and wish him the best in his future endeavors. One fan wrote: "Adrian is a great man. Good luck to him. He did his best for the club." This heartfelt message reflected the general tone of the post from the fans, unanimously showing deep appreciation and respect for their former player.

Adrian himself posted a heartfelt video to X, thanking the club and its supporters for their shared success over five years. The two-minute clip showcased edits of his best moments, including winning the title, being celebrated by Jurgen Klopp, and being engulfed by fans as they showered the club with praises in the city streets.

His message was filled with gratitude and emotion, reflecting on the unforgettable journey and the deep connection he formed with Liverpool and its passionate supporters. "Now, its time for me to share all these experiences I have learned. I will be grateful to you for life. You have been and always will be special to me and my family," he said to his supporters.

It's believed Adrian was offered a new contract to return to Anfield but chose to test the waters of free agency instead. With Alisson Becker as the team's No. 1 choice and Caoimhin Kelleher as the primary backup last season, the aging keeper fell out of favor.

The seasoned shot-stopper appears eager to reclaim a No. 1 goalkeeper spot after being virtually sidelined since 2022. As a No. 3 under manager Arne Slot, he could have stepped up to No. 2 if Kelleher had exited before him. Rumors are swirling about a nostalgic return to Real Betis, where Adrian's journey began. From his early days in the Betis academy to his professional debut and subsequent moves to West Ham in 2013 and Liverpool in 2019, Adrian’s career could come full circle.
