Married At First sight star Ella Morgan has revealed that she plans to take a step back from social media in a bid to recover from an illness.

The reality TV star, who has been active on social media platforms including Instagram announced the news earlier this week. She told her followers: "Taking a short little insta break, I have never been so ill in all my life." However, it remains unclear the nature of her illness. She continued: "I need rest then I'll be back with good content, hopefully if I make it!"

But this isn't the first time Ella has caused concern when it comes to her health as she reportedly collapsed while at this year's BAFTA Awards. Fortunately, a medic was nearby and was seen helping the star while on the red carpet. Following a speedy recovery, she reassured her fans and attributed her fall to being overheated and weak.

She told fans at the time:"To everyone asking how I am after my Baftas 'collapsing' incident... I am perfectly OK now, I was just very hot, my body had overheated and felt weak, I hadn't eaten enough or drank enough that was all, hence why I was very lightheaded and felt faint."

She continued: "I was fine after I'd seen the medic, sat down, and been checked over! All good here now folks, lesson learnt, drink more water! Still looked iconic in my outfit if I do say so myself." Ella achieved nation-wide fame for her personality but for also making history on the show as the first trans female.

Although Ella didn't manage to find love on the show, it has now been announced that she is set to join this year's Celebs Go Dating. Taking to Instagram she announced: "Celebs Go Dating is BACK .. and SO AM I! I’ve joined the line up for Series 13 of @celebsgodating with these absolute icons! Proud to be making history again, as the agency's first ever Trans celeb! Marrying a stranger didn't exactly work out so let's try my hand at dating first! This is going to be a fun summer! Coming soon."

In December last year, reports had been rife that Ella was set to join Strictly Come Dancing as she had signed up to Zara McDermott's agency. In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, she told us: "Yes I would absolutely love, out of everything, probably to do Strictly. Can I dance? I'm not really sure."

She added: "I've not really had experience but I think I've got some moves. I would absolutely love to do it and I would love to be the first trans person to represent my community. I probably would last one week, but yes I would love to do it." Strictly has become one of the most inclusive shows on TV after embracing same sex partnerships and disabled contestants, such as deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, who won the competition in 2021.
