UK households have just says left to check if they could be eligible for a £150 energy bill discount.
Approximately 760,000 people are missing out on Pension Credit - a key benefit that also unlocks the Warm Home Discount, worth up to £150 off your electricity bill. Eligibility requirements for the Warm Home Discount - whether applicants are on the England/Wales or programmes - specify that anyone who might qualify should have received one of nine means-tested benefits and on a specific date.
You're eligible for the Warm Home Discount if you were in receipt of the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit on August 11. But Pension Credit can be backdated by three months - meaning you can apply by November 11 and still receive the Warm Home discount. Recent figures released by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show hundreds of thousands of eligible households are eligible to receive Pension Credit payments, but they are yet to apply.
