viewers were in for a rocky ride this season as drama erupted from the very first day the grooms and brides met each other.

Caspar and Adam left a sour taste in our mouths after they made shockingly negative comments about their wives, Emma and Polly, and their bodies. Caspar admitted to Emma during their honeymoon that he didn't find her sexy and compared her to his twin sister - whom he didn't get along with.

He also told her he rarely went for "curvier women", to which Emma said she was a "size 14, not a f***ing monster." He accused the experts of 'f***ing with his life' as he doubled down on his disinterest in her during the first commitment ceremony. Emma had her walls up by the second one and confessed she couldn't imagine kissing him.

Caspar wasn't the only divisive person in the series. Adam was less than impressed when he met his wife, Polly. He admitted to her best friend at the wedding, "—who has a podcast called Lara on Eyre—told the Mirror: "Poor Emma. I mean, let's look at her counterpart. I mean, maybe if he was a gym guy and all he did was drink protein shakes and that was his deal, I wouldn't love it,10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan. She's not what I expected." Adam slept with her on their honeymoon but later revealed he wasn't attracted to her.

Alex, who was matched with Holly, was also branded a 'red flag' with accusations emerging about his behaviour towards his ex-girlfriend. After sitting down to watch this season's chaos and fights, fellow Married At First Sight star Lara Eyre - who appeared on the show in 2022 and wed Richie Dews - questioned the lack of 'emotional intelligence' in the men this series.

Speaking about Caspar and Emma, Lara - who has a podcast called Lara on Eyre - told the : "Poor Emma. I mean, let's look at her counterpart. I mean, maybe if he was a gym guy and all he did was drink protein shakes and that was his deal. Like, I wouldn't love it but I could maybe see how he might have that mentality. But then you look at Caspar…

"What made it worse was that he had a massive issue around his own body, and he has a lot of feelings about that. He doesn't feel attractive or good enough, and then he uses that as a weapon against her. I felt like that was just a really crappy thing to do. And I I'm wondering where's the emotional intelligence in these men this year? They want to do the crime but they don't want to do the time."

She went on to say that most women go on the show as they can't 'find healthy relationship' and are looking for love. However, Lara hit out at the men and wondered why they bother joining the series when "these men seem to have zero interest in changing their own behaviours."

"I just started to wonder, are we making more toxic men or is it just the show… that the kind of people that go on the show tend to have those narcissistic tendencies, because that's the kind of guy that would go on. Why would a really nice, caring guy put himself out there?"

Lara doesn't hold back when it comes to her thoughts on the show and even discusses everything that happens on Married At First Sight, from the explosive dinner parties to what happens behind the scenes on her podcast,
