Oasis fans bewildered as hotel prices soar after reunion tour dates released

Send Push

Hotel prices have surged after Oasis announced their forthcoming tour dates this morning (August 27) after a 15 year hiatus. Fans eager to see the band live are scrambling to secure accommodation, leading to increased demand and skyrocketing prices.

The band has announced dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin for July next year, ending years of speculation over whether they would ever play together again.

But this has meant hotels near the concert venues have hiked prices due to the anticipated influx of visitors, and the longer fans wait to book, the more they might end up paying. The Oasis tour is likely to draw not only local fans but also international travellers, further straining hotel capacity and pushing prices higher.

Fans were left shocked at how much the prices had increased. One person on the social media blogging site X wrote: "Oasis tour madness kicked in already one night a hotel in Cardiff for the first gig £424 !!"

Another person said: "If you check the hotels for the locations and dates of the Oasis tour they are all either mysteriously ‘sold out’ or the prices have tripled." One chimed in: "Within five minutes of @oasis announcing their gigs, the very ordinary @MarriottBonvoy hotel in Cardiff is price gouging to a ridiculous degree."

Noel and Liam Gallagher finally made peace after 15 years, sharing a list of tour dates with their fans as they gear up to head back to the stage in 2025.

Shortly after confirming the news, which left admirers worldwide celebrating, Liam took to X, otherwise known as Twitter, this Tuesday, August 27, 2024, to write a symbolic message.

Captioning the brothers' recent photoshoot, he penned: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

"This is it, this is happening", Liam first commented on a post announcing the upcoming tour.

Tickets will go on sale this Saturday, August 31, 2024, and the brothers will keep their Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin fans entertained in July and August, 2025.
