Ruth Langsford undergoes dramatic makeover amid Eamonn Holmes' new romance

Ruth Langsford has taken ‘revenge’ on her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes as she showed off her glam makeover.

The 64-year-old Loose Women star has maintained a dignified silence since it was announced she and the GB News host, who had been together since 1996, would be parting ways. Ruth and Eamonn, who tied the knot in 2010 and share son Jack, 22, were thought to have one of the safest marriages in showbiz, and the couple stunned fans when they confirmed they would be divorcing back in May.

While Ruth has refused to comment on the end of her relationship, Eamonn has spoken candidly about his divorce, and at The Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) Awards in June, he shared his feelings following the split. “I'm not okay. This is not a good time at all,” he told The Mirror. “It's too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends.”

In recent posts on Instagram, Ruth has revealed the results of her incredible post-divorce makeover and showed fans she has ripped out the old stairlift from their lavish £3.5 million home in Surrey after Eamonn moved out. The former This Morning presenter, 64, has begun a relationship with couple’s counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, in the wake of his split from Ruth, and she’s on a mission to show her ex-husband what he’s missing.

She posed in a chic outfit on Instagram as she headed out for lunch with friends on Saturday, and her fans noticed that the stairlift that used to be in their home has been removed. “Casual lunch,” she captioned the snap, as she wore a stunning outfit comprised of pieces from her own QVC collection. According to the Daily Mail, Ruth ensured that the stairlift had been taken out ahead of Eamonn’s return to their marital home to collect his belongings ahead of his holiday to Ibiza with his new love Katie.

“She knew Eamonn probably would struggle when he had to go the house to get some bits he needed for the holiday. The bedrooms are upstairs and he needed to get to them. It might seem petty but Ruth’s friends think it is absolutely hilarious as they think he has really taken her for a ride. You can imagine how furious Eamonn was,” an insider told the outlet.

The stairlift was first installed in the former couple’s Weybridge property in January last year during Eamonn’s recovery from a slipped disc and a dislocated pelvis which caused him severe back pain. After undergoing surgery in 2022, he was back in hospital after falling backwards down 18 stairs at his home, and being left with a broken shoulder.
