Rylan Clark gobsmacked as he's reminded of 'secret raunchy past' before landing BBC role

Rylan Clark was left stunned as he delved into stories of his own "x-rated past" during a nostalgic trip through his early career memories.

The 35-year-old telly favourite unearthed an old box filled with keepsakes from his days on Big Brother and the spin-off show Big Brother's Bit On The Side. In it, he uncovered a scrapbook put together by a pal that recorded newspaper headlines about Rylan.

One headline turned the spotlight on an "secret X-rated past photoshoot" Rylan had done with glamour model Brandy Brewer, where he was photographed getting up close and personal with a topless Brandy and another female model.

In a candid chat on his YouTube channel, Rylan spilt: "Oh god, so when I was 17 I did a photoshoot in Sardinia just outside Italy with two glamour models. Everyone kept coming up to us and asking 'are you a footballer' and I said yes, but I wasn't."

He cheekily added: "Babe, I'm the original OnlyFans, see, I could set up a page."

While rifling through the memorabilia, the BBC Radio 2 star came across yet another press clipping spotlighting "even more raunchy pictures". Reflecting on the snaps, he confessed: "What's wrong with me? It's disgusting."

Other snippets from his scrapbook showed mishaps like Rylan accidentally exposing his bum, and articles suggesting he was "too heartbroken to find a boyfriend", to which he jested: "We've been there before."

Rylan became a familiar face following his stint on The X Factor in 2012. Despite being voted out at the quarter final stage, he quickly made waves by entering - and winning - Celebrity Big Brother just a couple of months later.

He soon landed a spot on the hosting team for the show's spin-off, going on to host ITV's This Morning and BBC's The One Show amongst other TV appearances. Rylan also entertains the nation with his own Saturday slot on BBC Radio 2, which has been a regular gig since 2019.

Known for his fondness of a good time, Rylan has candidly shared details about his partying habits in the past. In fact, while hosting Eurovision 2024 in Malmo, he confessed: "I've been in trouble before."

Admitting to previous mischief, he added: "I've sort of been banned from taking the acts out since 2019, when I took Michael Rice (former UK entrant) out the night before the jury show and brought him in at 8am in the morning, bless him."
