Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood forced to apologise as BBC host steps in after blunder

While gracing The One Show this past Friday (October 25), the Strictly judge joined hosts and Roman Kemp for a chat. However, things got a little awkward when Craig slipped up.

Conversation soon turned to the upcoming Halloween special on Strictly, prompting Vick to query Craig: "Talking of special weeks, there is a major one after Halloween week, is that right?" With a bewildered look, Craig retorted: "A major after Halloween week?".

Vick then prompted: "Icons?" at which point Craig's realisation dawned, exclaiming: "Icons! Yes! Sorry darling I thought it was all about me!" Vick wasn't just making conversation; she was alluding to the show's newbie of a theme week for the 2025 series - Icons.

Just last month it had come to light that Strictly will be sprucing up the season with a novel celebratory week coined Icons, in tribute to the programme's 20 years of spellbinding performances. Aimed at becoming a staple feature in future instalments, this week is set to celebrate musical legends of the ages, reports .

On the episode scheduled for Saturday, November 2, our hardy Strictly contenders will groove to honour an array of music's most iconic figures. This theme week will salute music royalty from different periods.

Aside from the much-adored Movie Week, Strictly Come Dancing's diary is peppered with special dates including the iconic Blackpool week, which whisks contestants off to dance at the famed Blackpool Tower ballroom. The show doesn't stop there as it celebrates Musical Weeks as well.

Adding to the excitement, 'Icons Week' will make its dazzling debut during Sunday's results show on November 3. The night will be lit up by Strictlys professionals dazzling the crowd with an homage to Queen Bey a medley of epic proportions.

All eyes will be on Johannes Radebe whos tipped to take centre stage, with telly buffs braced for a heady mix featuring "bejewelled cowboy hats, power ballad moves and sparkling sass".
