Four IIMs (IIMs located in Raipur, Kashipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli) have announced JAP for MBA admission for the academic year 2026.
If you are preparing for the CAT exam, then this news can prove beneficial for you. According to a report published in INDIA TODAY, IIM Raipur, Kashipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli have announced Joint Admission Process (JAP) for MBA admission for the academic year 2026. This initiative will allow candidates to apply to all four institutes from one place. IIM Raipur will be the coordinator of JAP 2026 and will handle the coordination and admission process for all the four participating IIMs.
After the declaration of CAT result, candidates will be eligible to get admission in any of the four participating IIMs through the Joint Admission Process.
According to the report, Professor Sanjeev Parashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur, said, "We are proud to announce the Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026, which promotes collaboration among the four leading IIMs. This initiative reflects our commitment to resource optimization, student-centric admissions and strengthening the IIM brand for future leading institutions. JAP 2026 reflects our dedication to maintaining high standards and opening new opportunities for ambitious MBA candidates,"
What will be the benefit?
By aggregating applications in one place, JAP 2026 reduces the burden on candidates who otherwise apply separately to each IIM. It also ensures uniform evaluation criteria across participating institutes. After the declaration of CAT results, candidates will be eligible to participate in a joint selection process, which may result in them getting admission in any of the four institutes.
It is worth noting that JAP 2026 aims to streamline the admission process for candidates, allowing them to apply to four IIMs from one place.
