Most of the Science courses saw vacant seats in the initial stage itself, which often get filled only in the next round. Science and Commerce hybrid courses like Statistics and Economics also proved difficult for Science students, as most Science students are busy preparing for NEET/JEE. Due to this, low applications and high competition have become an issue of vacant seats in Science subjects.

DU released the list of vacant seats on July 24, the time for changing the option was kept from July 24–25 and the second seat list will be released on July 28.
