Now in the medical colleges of the state, studies will be done in Hindi along with English. Along with Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh have also announced to start studies in Hindi.
If media reports are to be believed, this change will be implemented in Rajasthan in a phased manner. First of all, studies in Hindi will start in Jodhpur's Sampurnanand Medical College and Barmer Medical College from the academic session 2024-25.
Both these colleges are affiliated to Marwar Medical University. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary of, the Medical Education Department, said that it would be optional for the students to study MBBS in Hindi. The state government has also talked about including the Hindi language in medical education in its budget.
