Gmail Account: Have you ever wondered what will happen to your Gmail or Google account if you die suddenly? Will someone else be able to run it, or will it be deleted forever?

Have you ever wondered what will happen to your Gmail or Google account if you die suddenly? Will someone else be able to run it, or will it be deleted forever? This question becomes even more important for those who want their personal information not to fall into the hands of anyone else.

According to Google's new policy, if an account is not active for 2 years continuously, then Google automatically deletes it. This deletion includes emails, Google Drive files, photos, saved cards, documents, and all personal information related to the account. However, Google sends many warnings and notifications before this so that the user can become active again and save the account.

Google provides a special feature called Inactive Account Manager. Through this, you can decide in advance what Google should do if your account remains inactive for a long time; you can set a timeline of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or 18 months.

After this period, Google will try to contact you at your email or mobile. If no response is received, the account will be considered inactive.

You can choose up to 10 people who will get a notification when your account becomes inactive. You can also decide who will get what access, such as who can see your mail, who can only download photos or who can access your documents. For this, you have to provide the email ID and some information of that person.

You can also set whether your account should be completely deleted after being inactive or not. If you have chosen the option of deletion, then Google will first give 3 months to the person given access so that he can download the necessary data. After this the account will be permanently deleted.
