Kia Seltos, Sonet and Carens prices hiked: Here's by how much

Kia India has silently increased the prices of select variants in Kia Sonet , Seltos and Carens MPV . The price revision comes in just after the launch of the new mid-spec GTX variant and the pricing for the base-spec variants of all three cars remains unchanged. Here’s the detailed report on price revision.

First, let’s take a look at the price revision of the Seltos with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine . The HTE, HTK Plus and HTK Plus CVT variant’s prices remain unchanged whereas the HTK Plus variant sees a price hike of Rs 5000. The prices of the top-spec HTX and HTX CVT increased by Rs 15,000. Talking about the 1.5-litre turbo petrol variants, only the HTK Plus variant with the iMT transmission gets a price hike of Rs 17,000. Prices of all other trims remain unchanged.

Finally, talking about the 1.5-litre turbo diesel . This engine option gets a maximum price hike. The base HTE and HTX Plus variants see a price hike of Rs 6000. The HTK trim gets a hike of Rs 12,000 and the HTX iMT variant gets a hike of Rs 19,000. The HTX AT and X-like AT get price hikes of Rs 17,000 and Rs 2000 respectively.

The Carens MPV with 1.5-litre NA petrol, the prices of the base-spec Premium variant remain unchanged. The price of the Premium (O) is hiked by Rs 14,000 and all other variants get a uniform price hike of Rs 15,000. Taking about the 1.5-litre turbo petrol models, the pricing of the Premium iMT, Prestige iMT, Luxury iMT, Luxury Plus iMT, Prestige Plus DCT and Luxury Plus DCT 6-seater remains unchanged. The Premium (O) variant sees a hike of Rs 14,000, the Prestige Plus iMT gets a hike of Rs 18,000 the Prestige Plus (O) DCT variant gets Rs 19,000 and the Luxury Plus DCT and X-Line variants get a uniform hike of Rs 22,000. The 1.5-litre diesel variants get a price hike ranging from Rs 8000 for the Luxury variant to Rs 27,000 for the X-Line 6-seater AT variant.

The variants of 1.0-litre turbo petrol see a price hike of Rs 17,000. The price of the HTK Plus variant is increased by Rs 16,000 and the HTX by Rs 13,000. The HTX AT gets a price hike of Rs 13,000, the GTX Plus variant by Rs 16,000 and the X-line gets a price hike of Rs 17,000. Talking about the 1.5-litre turbo diesel variants, the prices of the HTE, HTE (O) and HTK variants remain unchanged. The HTK Plus variant gets a price hike of Rs 17,000 and the HTX MT variant gets expensive by Rs 27,000. The HTX AT gets a price hike of Rs 17,000, and the GTX and X-line are now expensive by Rs 11,000 and Rs 2000 respectively. The prices of the HTX iMT and HTX plus iMT have increased by Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
