PM Kisan 18 installment released; how to check beneficiary status

The Prime Minister released the 18th installment of PM-KISAN today in Washim, Maharashtra. Over 9.4 crore farmers in the country will receive over Rs 20,000 crore in direct financial benefits through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) without intermediaries’ participation.

With the 18th installment release of the PM Kisan Yojana, the total disbursement under the scheme will exceed Rs 3.45 lakh crore, supporting more than 11 crore farmers nationwide and further reaffirming the government's commitment to rural development and agricultural prosperity.

The 17th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) was released on June 18, 2024. The government disbursed around Rs 20,000 crore to over 9.3 crore farmers.


PM Kisan details
The government launched this PM Kisan Saman Nidhi Yojana scheme in 2019. Under the scheme an income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments will be provided to all land holding farmer families. The funds will be directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account.


How farmers can check their beneficiary status
Step 1: Visit the Official PM Kisan Website.
Step 2: Access the Beneficiary Status Page.
Step 3: Click on "Beneficiary Status" ...
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number.
Step 5: Click on "Get Data"
Step 6: View Beneficiary Status.
Step 7: Check for Payment Status.
Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen when the system processes your request and checks the PM Kisan database for your details.

How to download PM Kisan Mobile Application
Step 1: Download the PM Kisan App
Step 2: Login using Aadhaar number or Registration ID
Step 3: Get OTP and enter the same
Step 4: Click on Dashboard
Step 5: Click on 'Beneficiary status' and select the installment status number
Step 6: Click on ' Get details'

How OTP based e-KYC can be done?
There are following three modes of eKYC available to the farmers of the PMKISAN scheme:
(i) OTP Based e-KYC (available on PM-KISAN Portal and Mobile App)
(ii) Biometric based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs))
(iii) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM KISAN Mobile app which is used by millions of farmers).

How biometric based e-KYC can be done?
This technology has been made available to over 4 lakh Common Service Centres and other State Seva Kendras across the country in order to deliver services to farmers at their doorsteps/neighborhoods. Follow the below steps.

Visit your nearest CSC/SSK with your Aadhaar Card and Aadhaar linked mobile number
The CSC/SSK operator will assist the farmer in performing biometric authentication using Aadhaar-based verification.
Note: i. The nearest CSC can be located at https://locator.csccloud.in/
ii. The convenience fee is Rs. 15 for eKYC.

How to do e-KYC through face-authentication?
The farmer can also do the eKYC through their mobile at their own convenience. This is the most innovative and hassle-free way of doing eKYC. The steps are given below:
i. Download the PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app from the Google Play Store
ii. Open the app and login through your PM-KISAN registered mobile number
iii. Land on the beneficiary status page
iv. If eKYC status is "No", click on the eKYC, then enter your Aadhaar number and give your consent to scan your face
v. After successfully scanning your face, eKYC is completed.
Note: i. The status of the eKYC done through any mode will be reflected in the beneficiary status after 24 hours.
ii. The farmers can also access their status from the KYS module on the PM-KISAN portal and Kisan-eMitra (PM-KISAN AI Chatbot).
