While a Harris win could be expected to ensure continuity in ties as seen under the Biden administration, a Trump victory could briefly witness some trade issues and immigration coming into the picture in the initial days. India enjoys a close relationship with the US that covers trade, investment and more. Besides, the US is home to a sizable Indian-origin population.
