The wait is over as one piece of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus movie SSMB29 aka Globetrotter is finally unveiled. The director dropped the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as antagonist of the film. Back in August, filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli promised fans that he would unveil the first look of his next film, tentatively titled Globetrotter, in November. As the month began, Mahesh Babu playfully reminded him about it on X (formerly Twitter). Now, Rajamouli has finally shared a fresh update about the much-awaited project.

Prithviraj Sukumaran first look out

Taking to X (formerly called Twitter), SS Rajamouli shared the look and called him, "sinister, ruthless, powerful antagonist KUMBHA was creatively very satisfying." SS Rajamouli praised Prithviraj Sukumaran, saying that after filming his first shot, he told the actor he was among the finest he had ever worked with.

The director added that bringing the dark and powerful character of Kumbha to life was creatively fulfilling and thanked Prithviraj for perfectly stepping into the role, both figuratively and literally.

Moreover, the much-awaited first-look teaser of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Globetrotter will premiere on November 15 in Hyderabad, officially kicking off one of the biggest promotional campaigns of the year. Fans have flooded social media with excitement, eager to see what the Baahubali and RRR director has planned next.

Globetrotter OTT release

Adding to the anticipation, the makers announced that the teaser launch will be live-streamed on JioHotstar, allowing audiences across India and abroad to watch the event in real time. While details of the teaser remain secret, the team confirmed that this event will set the stage for the film’s global marketing push.

This digital-first approach shows a new trend in Indian cinema, where big reveals are being made accessible to fans worldwide instead of being limited to a few attendees. A short promo released earlier has already sparked endless fan theories about the film’s storyline and characters.

Amid the growing buzz, SS Rajamouli revealed that the climax sequence is currently being filmed at Ramoji Film City with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. He added that the team is simultaneously preparing for the grand event on November 15.

The film, reportedly made on a massive budget of $116 million, is being called one of India’s most ambitious movies so far. It stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and R. Madhavan, and is said to be a jungle adventure story.
