Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's much-awaited film Jolly LLB 3 finally arrived in theatres today (September 19). Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the courtroom drama brings back both fan-favourite lawyers from the Jolly LLB series, Arshad Warsi from the first film and Akshay Kumar from the sequel, who will go head-to-head in a courtroom showdown. Saurabh Shukla also returns as the quirky and much-loved Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi. Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao will reprise their roles as Pushpa Pandey and Sandhya. Before its release, Jolly LLB 3 faced controversy for allegedly mocking the judiciary, especially through its promotional content and the song “Bhai Vakeel Hai.” However, the Bombay and Allahabad High Courts dismissed the petitions, noting that satire doesn’t harm the dignity of the judiciary. The film was later cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a U/A certificate and a “16+ advisory,” following a few minor edits.


The film is set for a massive release with nearly 8,000 shows across India. Advance bookings opened on September 15 and have shown strong demand, earning around Rs 5 crore, including blocked seats. Ticket prices range from Rs 130 to Rs 1500. With both previous installments being commercial hits, trade experts expect the third part to open with Rs 3 to Rs 5 crore on day one, depending heavily on word-of-mouth.
