Mira Erda , who loves chocolates, says that “everyone in my family is addicted to chocolates.” On World Chocolate Day today, the racer shares, “My love for chocolates comes from my dad, who has always gifted us chocolates. Ever since I started racing, I had to focus on my diet and so, I had to reduce chocolate consumption. Now, I love eating dark chocolates . They are delicious and healthy.”
Mira adds, “I remember going to Mahabaleshwar with my family as a kid, and that place had amazing chocolates on offer. As kids, Vrajesh (her elder brother) and I would fight a lot because he used to eat all my chocolates! Now, whenever I am away on tours, my mom knows that I would look for chocolates once I am back home. So, she hides a few chocolates for me, and my dad and brother have no idea about where she keeps them (laughs)! While travelling, I always eat chocolate desserts at hotels. During breakfast, I love having waffles with chocolate syrup-it’s like a ritual for me. During dinner, I prefer chocolate mousse and chocolate brownie.”
Talking about experimentation with chocolates, she says, “We are living in an era of bizarre food experiments and I can’t even think of eating chocolate pani puri or chocolate vada pav. However, I would love to try out Manek Chowk ’s famous chocolate sandwich. I really want to have the famous knafeh chocolate bar, made in Dubai, that has gone viral on social media. It has a delectable pistachio filling and I was disappointed when I couldn’t find it at the Dubai airport during my recent trip. At home, we always experiment and even try out Instagram recipes while preparing chocolate desserts.”
