NEW DELHI: In Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency, all eyes are on whether BJP 's Gopal Jee Thakur gets another term or RJD 's Lalit Kumar Yadav gets the seat. The votes are scheduled to be counted on June 4 from 8am.
In the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, the Darbhanga constituency went to the polls in Phase 4 on May 13, 2024. Situated in Bihar, Darbhanga constitutes one of the 40 parliamentary seats in the state, holding a general category parliamentary seat status with a literacy rate of 46.14%.

In the 2019 elections, Gopal Jee Thakur of the Bharatiya Janata Dal emerged victorious with 585,013 votes, securing 60.8% of the votes. The runner-up was Abdul Bari Siddiqui of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, who secured 317,485 votes, accounting for 33% of the votes.
