Importance of Kajari Teej
On the day of Kajari Teej, there is a law to worship Teej Mata, i.e., Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva. According to religious beliefs, by worshipping with rituals on the day of Kajari Teej, one gets relief from all sorrows and troubles, and marital life remains happy. Neemdi Puja also has special significance on Kajari Teej. On this day, women worship the neem branch, considering it the form of Goddess Durga. The materials used in the worship of Kajari Teej are simple, but there are some special items in it that are related to the rules of the fast and the story.

Pujan Thali – Clean brass/steel plate
Kalash – filled with water, decorated with mango/amrapallava and coconut
Idol/Picture – of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha
Clay Shivling (if to be installed at home)
Water pot – Ganga water/pure water
Panchamrit – Milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar
Betel leaves and betel nut
Roli, kumkum, turmeric, sandalwood
Raw thread
Banana leaves
Akshat (rice)
Sindoor and bindi
Dhoop, agarbatti, camphor
Lamp – Ghee or oil

Flower garland – especially belpatra, durva, and white/yellow flowers
Fruits – Seasonal fruits, banana, pomegranate, guava, etc.
Sweets – Kheer, laddu, malpua, or traditional sweets of your region
Wheat or gram flour – to offer in the Puja during the Katha
Make-up Samagri – Bracelets, dupatta, kajal, comb, mahavar, bindi etc.
Storybook – for reading Kajari Teej Vrat Katha
Dakshina for offering – tied in red/yellow cloth
Swing decoration – if there is a tradition then small swings decorated with flowers
