In Hinduism, the Utpanna Ekadashi fast is considered highly auspicious. Observing this fast is believed to cleanse all sins. It is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Margashirsha (Agahan), which is considered the birth anniversary of Ekadashi Mata, beloved of Lord Vishnu. This year, the holy festival of Utpanna Ekadashi will be celebrated on November 15th. On this auspicious day, along with worshipping Lord Vishnu, the worship of Tulsi Mata, his beloved, holds special significance. Tulsi is considered an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.
Therefore, performing some simple rituals related to Tulsi on Utpanna Ekadashi (Utpanna Ekadashi 2025) brings blessings from both Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Let's explore these rituals, which are as follows:
Perform miraculous rituals related to Tulsi on Utpanna Ekadashi
Perform adornment
On Utpanna Ekadashi, offer water to Tulsi Mata. Offer her a red scarf and sixteen items of adornment. It is believed that doing so pleases Goddess Lakshmi and brings permanent residence to the home. This practice also brings sweetness to married life.
Offer raw milk
Offering raw milk to Tulsi Mata on Ekadashi is considered very auspicious. After offering the milk, light a ghee lamp in front of the plant and chant the mantra "Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya." Doing so creates the possibility of financial gain.
Do these things with Tulsi buds
If money doesn't accumulate in your home, tie Tulsi buds in a red cloth on Utpanna Ekadashi and place them in your safe or money storage area. Doing so alleviates financial difficulties and creates the possibility of financial gain.
Perform Parikrama
On Ekadashi, after bathing in the morning, circumambulate the Tulsi plant seven times. Chant "Jai Maa Lakshmi" and "Jai Shri Hari" while circumambulating. Afterward, tie a red thread around the Tulsi stem. By doing this remedy, one gets relief from all troubles and obstacles.
