Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A truck driver lost his life after his vehicle overturned and caught fire in Sehore on Thursday.
The accident occurred early morning near Kothri village on the Bhopal-Indore highway in Sehore district.
According to information, the truck was loaded with a large quantity of branded English liquor. It went out of control and overturned near the Kothri bus stand.
Soon after the accident, the truck caught fire and was completely destroyed along with the liquor inside.
Sub-Inspector Avinash Bhople from Ashta Police Station said the driver likely died due to a serious head injury. The truck was on its way from Barwah to a government liquor warehouse in Jabalpur.
The driver has been identified as Javed Ali, a resident of Bhopal, who lived near Navodaya Cancer Hospital. His body has been sent to the civil hospital for postmortem.
Police officer Chinmay Mishra from Amlaha outpost reached the spot with his team after receiving the information. The fire also destroyed all documents in the truck, including liquor bills and other papers.
SDOP Akash Amalkar confirmed that the truck belonged to Vinay Tiwari, a resident of Pipariya.
He added that all related government departments have been informed, and an investigation is ongoing.
