'I Only Date To Marry': RJ Mahvash Shares Her Relationship Status Amid Yuzvendra Chahal Dating Rumours, Reveals She Was Cheated Upon By Fiancé

RJ Mahvash has been all over the news of late due to her link-up rumours with Team India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, post his divorce with Dhanashree Verma. And now, in a new podcast, Mahvash declared that she is "single but happy", and also quipped that she is someone who dates to marry.

Mahvash appeared on The Good Girls Show, where she spoke about her relationship status. "I am very single, but happy. Mujhe shaadi ka concept samajh nahi aa raha hai aajkal. I am someone who would date to get married to that person. I don't go on casual dates. I feel I'll only date someone whom I want to marry. Currently, I have stopped understanding the concept of marriage altogether, hence, I am not dating also. I've put a halt on all that," she said.

While she did not name Chahal explicitly, she also said in another segment during the podcast that trolling and link-up rumours do not affect her anymore, and that she has learnt to deal with it.

Mahvash on calling off her engagement

During the interview, Mahvash revealed that she was cheated upon by her fiancé, which affected her physically as well as emotionally. "I used be in the hospital half of the time. I would take so many injections. I used to get panic attacks. He was not just my boyfriend, he was my fiancé. And I couldn't even open up to my parents because I was the one who was in love with him and had forced them to get us engaged," she shared.

She went on to say, "I forgave him twice, but I decided to finally call it quits after the third time he cheated on me. I was also scared that what would people think if I call off my engagement, because society always blames the girl. Any breakup, any divorce, it's always the girl who gets blamed."

Mahvash on being cheated upon

Mahvash shared that the breakup took a toll on her self-esteem, and at one point, she even thought that she was a bad kisser which is why her fiancé cheated on her with another woman.

"A breakup hampers your confident badly. You start doubting yourself after a breakup that maybe you were not good enough for him, and maybe his current girlfriend his current girlfriend is better than you that's why he left you and went to him. You keep checking your face thousand times in the mirror, you keep doubting yourself," she said.

She further stated, "But after some time you realise if someone wants to cheat on you, then they will do it some or the other day anyhow. Angelina Jolie, the most beautiful woman, got cheated on, what else can I say?"

For those unversed, rumours of Chahal and Mahvash dating first surfaced after the two were spotted at a hotel together around the time when reports of the former's marriage with Dhanashree Verma being in trouble had gone viral. However, Mahvash lashed out at the reports back then and stated that they were just friends.

But Chahal and Mahvash once again grabbed eyeballs when they attended the Champions Trophy finale in Dubai together. They were also spotted together just a few hours before the cricketer officially got divorced with Dhanashree at the Bandra family court in Mumbai on March 20.
