The Raigad district administration has reported that the flood situation across the district is under control despite heavy rainfall in some areas. According to the official update from the Collector’s Office Tuesday evening, most rivers started to recede, and traffic on major roads resumed by evening after heavy rainfall across the district on Tuesday morning. The district received an average of 85.86mm waterfall on Tuesday.
The Amba River has crossed the danger mark, while the Kundalika River is flowing above the warning level, as per the evening report from the Irrigation Department in Kolad. Other rivers in the region are flowing below the warning threshold. The district administration has issued alerts to all government departments and citizens to remain cautious.
According to initial estimates, partial damage has been reported to 2 houses, while 9 others have sustained minor structural damage. The district police confirmed that vehicular movement on most major and internal roads is safe, though a few routes were temporarily closed due to waterlogging or fallen trees and have since been cleared.
In Tala, water over the Sangam bridge on the Alibag–Tala Road receded by evening allowing the traffic to flow normally.
In Mahad, the Savitri River had entered low-lying areas of the city. The water over the Rawatkar bridge subsided, and traffic has resumed. A tragic incident was reported from Shingarkond village, where 60-year-old Suresh Ganpat Bhosale was swept away while crossing a river and was later found dead. In Vahehare, the Nageshwari River had overflowed, but the water receded from the temple bridge area by evening. Access to the Raigad route via Mahad which was blocked on Tuesday morning, was restored, and a fallen tree on the Sandoshi–Saward Road was removed.
In Roha, several roads were affected due to fallen trees and mudslides. A tree at Masekhind was cleared using JCBs, restoring road access. Mud accumulation was also reported on the Roha–Bhalgaon Road in areas such as Tabe, Bhisinkhind, Medha, Mahakange, and Kabhoshi. Cleanup operations are ongoing. In Warse–Bhuvanewadi, water had entered some homes but has now receded, and damage assessments are underway, said the report.
In Alibag, water that had entered shops near the Abewadi–Kolad junction which drained by evening and similar water accumulation near Nagothane got cleared.
In Sudhagad-Pali, damage was reported at Vavtholi village where the house of Subhash Mahale partially collapsed due to a wall cave-in. In Ranvali, Khalapur taluka, one house collapsed entirely. In Obchi village, a minor landslide near residential areas was cleared without any reported injuries.

"Across various talukas, including Poladpur, Shrivardhan, and Mangaon, water levels are receding steadily. In Dhorje, water over a local bridge has gone down, and traffic has resumed. In Alibag town, water in the market area has drained completely," said the report issued by Raigad administration.
The district administration continues to monitor the situation and has mobilized teams for damage assessment and immediate response in the affected regions.
