Mumbai: A major mishap was narrowly averted at Mumbai's King's Circle railway station late Tuesday night, thanks to the quick action of alert railway police personnel. A passenger who lost balance while attempting to board a moving local train was rescued just in time.
Wadala Railway Police and Home Guard Jawan Pull Commuter to Safety
According to Wadala Railway Police, the incident took place around 11:50 pm when a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-bound local train pulled into King's Circle station. Though the platform was not crowded, a commuter standing on the platform attempted to board the running train and lost his footing.
Passenger Escapes With Minor Injuries; Officials Urge Caution
The fall was immediately noticed by an on-duty police constable from the Wadala Railway Police Station and a Home Guard jawan. Reacting without delay, they rushed forward and pulled the passenger to safety, preventing what could have been a tragic accident. The passenger escaped with only minor scrapes and was declared safe.
