Chandigarh: The July 7 gruesome murder a prominent businessman of Abohar town, Sanjay Verma, rocked the second day of ongoing special session of Punjab assembly here on Friday with Congress legislators staging a walkout over the shocking incident.
Heated arguments were witnessed at the onset of the proceedings when senior Congress MLA and leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa demanded a discussion over the issue and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
Even though the Speaker told Bajwa that the members would get enough time to raise their issues and that there is no Zero Hour as it is a special session, Bajwa insisted for discussion and rushed to the Well of the House along with other party MLAs.

However, even though the Speaker again asked the protesting Congress MLAs to resume their seats saying that they would get enough time, the Congress MLAs again staged a walk out of the House.
