Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A video showing college students cheating during exams at Jiwaji University in Gwalior has gone viral. The footage, recorded at a government college in Lahar, Bhind, reveals students using a guide to copy answers in the toilet during their BA and BSc exams.
In the video, the students can be seen filling out their answer sheets while referencing a guide. In the video, one student mentions that the principal is his relative, implying a discount in the bribe, which ranged from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. According to information, the college principal, Angad Dauhre, dismissed the video as a "conspiracy to defame the institution," claiming that CCTV cameras in the examination halls ensure no cheating takes place. He suggested that the video was filmed outside the campus, near the boundary wall, and not in the exam halls.
This is not the first case of cheating at Lahar’s government college, as similar incidents have been reported in the past. Colleges in other areas, like Fup’s Rishishwar Mahavidyalaya, and various others in Gwalior and Bhind, have also faced cheating scandals. Following the video, the college administration has launched an investigation to identify those involved and take appropriate action.
