In this scorching heat, it is very important to keep the body hydrated and cool. In such a situation, today we are going to tell you the recipe of Aam Panna which will protect you from both heat and heat stroke.

Material
  • Raw mangoes (kairi) – 2-3 medium size (you can take more than that)
  • Sugar or jaggery - as per taste (about 4-6 tbsp)
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Plain salt - as per taste
  • Mint leaves – 10 to 12
  • Water – as required
  • Ice cubes – you can take as per your requirement.
Method
  • Boil the mangoes: First of all wash the raw mangoes thoroughly. Then add water in a vessel and boil the mangoes till they become soft. If you want, you can also boil them in a pressure cooker till 2-3 whistles.
  • Extract the pulp: When the mangoes cool down, peel them and take out the pulp and collect it in a bowl. Remove the seed.
  • Make puree: Put the extracted pulp in a mixer or blender, add some water and grind it well to make a fine puree.
  • Add spices: Now add sugar or jaggery (as per your choice), roasted cumin powder, black salt and plain salt to this puree and mix well. Let the sugar or jaggery dissolve completely.
  • Add mint: Wash the mint leaves and chop them finely or grind them in a mixer by adding some water. Mix this mint paste in mango puree.
  • Add water: Add cold water as needed. You can keep it thick or thin as per your preference.
  • Strain (optional): If you feel any fibers or particles in the mixture, you can strain it.
  • Chill: Keep the prepared Mango Panna in the fridge to cool it well or add ice cubes and enjoy the chilled Mango Panna.
