According to a report by the Indian Express, the Indian government had requested the US to bring Anmol to India in January last year. Now US officials have sought fresh information in this matter. Anmol was arrested in the US four months ago in November 2024. The newspaper has written quoting sources that the US State Department sent a message to the Home Ministry of India last month. In this message, many questions were asked like the number of cases registered against Anmol Bishnoi, technical evidence against him and his financial information. These questions are related to those cases in which Anmol had a direct role. A security official said that in response to these questions, the central government has asked the concerned agency to prepare all the information. Soon this data will be sent to America.

Anmol in US jail

Anmol Bishnoi was caught by US immigration officials in November 2024 for traveling with fake documents. Since then he is in US jail. Anmol is accused of many big crimes. In May 2022, he was accused of a role in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. This incident happened eight months after his release from Jodhpur jail. Anmol fled to America on 15 May 2022 with a fake passport. He had got this passport made in the name 'Bhanu'. But last year the US Immigration Department found out that the company reference letter that was with his travel documents was fake. After this, a Red Corner Notice was issued against him on 6 December 2022.

 

The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has named Anmol as the main conspirator in the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui. Police say that Anmol had prepared two people named Lonkar and Akhtar for this murder. Later, a special court in Mumbai issued a non-bailable warrant against three people including Anmol. Anmol is also accused of firing outside actor Salman Khan's house in Mumbai.

 

FBI officials came to India

After Anmol's arrest, three FBI officials came to India last year. These officials held a meeting with several Indian agencies under the leadership of a senior CBI official. In this meeting, issues like cases against Anmol, evidence, murder of Baba Siddiqui and firing at Salman Khan's house were discussed. A source said that the FBI held this meeting to know the status of Anmol's case.

 

The NIA has made Anmol an accused in two cases and has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for his arrest. An official said that a total of 31 cases are registered against Anmol, of which 22 are in Rajasthan. Nine arrest warrants have also been issued against him. Lawrence Bishnoi's gang is spread across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. Anmol is believed to be one of those who handle the extortion activities of this gang.
