In the video, Sanju Samson was notably absent from the team huddle, with Dravid seen discussing strategies with the support staff and players. A player appeared to gesture for Samson to join the huddle, but Samson responded with a hand gesture, which fueled speculation about a disagreement between the two.

Rahul Dravid Clears the Air

Addressing these rumors, Rahul Dravid spoke out at a press conference ahead of Rajasthan Royals' match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 19, 2025. He dismissed the claims of a rift with Sanju Samson, calling them baseless. Dravid stated, “I don’t know where such news comes from. Sanju and I are on the same page. He’s a very important part of our team. He’s involved in every discussion and decision we make.” He further explained that criticism is inevitable when the team isn't performing well, but insisted that the team environment remains positive.

Dravid added, “Sometimes, when you lose, you face criticism based on performance, but we can’t do anything about baseless rumors. The atmosphere within the team is great, and I’m very impressed with the hard work of the players. People don’t understand how much it affects the players when they don’t perform.”

Rajasthan Royals Look to Bounce Back

The Rajasthan Royals will face Lucknow Super Giants on April 19, hoping to break their three-match losing streak. They are currently ranked 8th in the points table, and there is uncertainty surrounding the participation of Sanju Samson in the upcoming match.
