Amazon has knocked £40 off a "magic" haircurler praised for its "amazing" and long-lasting results. Shopperslove theBaByliss Curl Secret Lite - Automatic Hair Curler, and it's on sale for Prime members. The "amazing" styler has been discounted from £90 to £49.99 in a Prime Day deal, offering customers 44% off the original price.

While reviews suggest the gadget "takes a little getting used to," beauty fans love the results it delivers. One impressed shopper said her curls can last for up to three days, thanks to the styler.

One happy customer shared: "Simple to use, although it takes a little getting used to. It gives nice curls, which lasted well in my hair (natural and extensions). Need to make sure you don’t put too much hair in each time and brush each section first.

"It heats up quite quickly, and has options to adjust the heat for different hair types. There are also options to curl the same way, switch manually, or automatically switch directions between curls. Good value for the price, very happy."

A shopper echoed: "I was skeptical about this and it took a little bit of getting the hang of. But it is absolutely great, so easy to use, variety of settings and controls for different curl directions and temperatures. The curls are quite tight which is good for longevity. Look lovely brushed out.

"I have quite long hair and it had no issue with that. Barely got tangled but when it did, was easy to rectify and the machine has an auto safety stop. Really pleased I bought this, has made curling my hair effortless."

However, someone who wasn't impressed commented: "Can’t believe how many good review this got. I have long hair so maybe that’s the problem but had this even worked on me and not continuously got my hair tangled up in it, it would have taken 5-7 business days to curl my whole head.

"I tried for about an hour to get it to work and managed 2 curls, the rest of the time it was tangle after tangle. Maybe mine was faulty? I sent it back anyway."

A different review said: "You have to have very fine hair so that it looks good and doesn't cost you forever. The cap of the curling iron is quite narrow, so that only small locks can fit.

"The brand is very good, and so is the presentation and quality of the materials, but this curling iron is not for me, my hair is not thin and I don't have a well-marked curl, apart from the time spent on such small locks."

Despite this, lots of commenters loved their results. Offering a different perspective, a reviewer said: "These are amazing once you get the hang of them you will wonder how you ever managed without them, when I do my hair the curls last for days obviously they drop as time goes on but there is still a curl to my hair after 3 days.
