Everyone is always looking to make their money stretch further; it's hardly surprising that people are going to great measures to keep their finances in check.
All of us across the UK are grappling with soaring expenses and having to dig deeper for essentials like the weekly shop. Food waste has become something we're all desperately trying to eliminate.
But supermarket giant Asda has issued a crucial warning to anyone purchasing eggs.

Eggs aren't just a kitchen essential—they're brilliant for breakfast and packed with protein. They're affordable to purchase and incredibly adaptable for any meal, whatever the hour.
Such as eggs florentine for breakfast, a veggie omelette for lunch or a Middle Eastern Shakshuka for dinner. Obviously, not all on the same day, of course, reports the Express.
According to the retailer's website, a straightforward storage adjustment could extend the "life of your groceries". What's more, it could also "reduce landfill, and save on food bills".
But where should you store your eggs? Do you stash them inside or outside the fridge?
Well, it appears there's quite the debate.
You may have spotted that supermarkets frequently display eggs unrefrigerated in-store. This happens because the temperature remains "constant there".
While you can't ensure the same stability at home, particularly as most of the UK is sweltering under high temperatures of 31C today, you can pop them in the fridge. Just be sure to keep them separate from other foods.
Asda clarified: "Eggs aren't refrigerated in store because the temperature is constant there, but you can't guarantee such things at home. Instead, it's best to keep eggs in the fridge, away from other foods."
Another handy tip from Asda is a simple way to check if your eggs are still good. It involves the water test.
Simply fill a bowl with cold water and submerge your eggs.
"If they touch the bottom they're safe to eat, but if they float to the surface, they're no longer fresh and shouldn't be consumed," Asda's website advises.
