Bayern, who were willing to break the bank to land the German attacker from their Bundesliga rivals, are now pushing ahead with alternative transfer plans Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma and AC Milan's Rafael Leao are both on their radar but a move for Eze has also been discussed.
The 26-year-old's release clause is set to become active again at the end of the season and is understood to be worth £60million plus £8m in add-ons. Palace have good relations with Bayern following the £50.8m sale of Michael Olise last July.
