BREAKING Britain's Got Talent announces new format change in huge ITV shake-up

Send Push

ITV has confirmed a huge format change to Britain's Got Talent for next year.

The new series will air for up to four months as the broadcaster announced a major shake-up to the way the programme airs. Simon Cowell's series will start earlier than before, in February instead of April, and it will now air every Saturday night.

Instead of the five live semi-finals taking place across a week and airing nightly, the semi-finals will now air weekly. The judging line-up of Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli will return, with extra stops on the tour added to auditions this October, starting in Blackpool.
