BREAKING: Yahoo Mail and AOL down as thousands unable to access emails

AOL and Yahoo Mail are down as thousands of users say they can't access their emails.

The outage seems to have started this afternoon around 3 p.m., according to a chart on the Down Detector website. The service also reported that 55% of users experienced server disruptions; 31% couldn't access the website and 14% said the login page was down as well.

"I'm getting 'upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: local reset,'" wrote one. "Getting server errors for both Yahoo mail and AT&T mail (which uses Yahoo servers) in Outlook. "Server is rejecting login." Same as what happened two weeks ago. Just started around 11 a.m. CDT on Monday 7/1/24. Does not affect the Mail app on iPhone or webmail, so it's Outlook where the problem is occurring," wrote another.

The site had another outage June 26 and affected customers around the globe-from New Mexico to Japan, according to Down Detector. "'No Healthy Upstream.' Hours ago, Yahoo 'and' Yahoo Mail were having log in issues. Then it worked for a while, now it's totally down. I remain able to log in to Yahoo, however, just not mail," one wrote.
