Rapper Cardi B has announced that she gave birth just a couple of days ago, having shared photos of herself cradling the "prettiest lil thing" on social media this week.
Cardi, 31, took to Instagram on Thursday to introduce the newborn, whose name has yet to be disclosed, to fans. She shared content from the hospital and wrote alongside pink flower emojis in the caption: "The prettiest lil thing. 9/7/24."
The Grammy Award winner - whose real name is Belcalis Cephus - is already a parent to two children with her estranged husband Offset, 32 - whose real name is Kiari Cephus. The former couple are parents to Wave, two, and Kulture, six.
She's been met with well wishes over the arrival of the newborn. "Congratulations Cardi," one fan wrote in the comments section. Another said: "Sending so many blessings to you and your beautiful family." Whilst one fan wrote: "Awww."
It comes after Cardi announced her pregnancy in August following reports that she's filed for divorce from her estranged husband Offset for a second time. She teased last month: "With every ending comes a new beginning!"

She then appeared to share a message for her unborn child, writing: "I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power. Reminded me that I can have it all! You've reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It's so much easier taking life's twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it's worth it to push through!"
The news of the pregnancy came shortly after reports that she'd filed for divorce from Offset. A rep for Cardi - who's been married to the fellow rapper since 2017 - told People magazine last month: "It's not based on cheating rumours, but rather has been a long time coming." As previously reported, Cardi confirmed her separation from Offset towards the end of last year. She's quoted as having said in a livestream at the time: "I've been single for a minute now, but I have been afraid to like - not afraid I just don't know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign."
