Courageous Celine Dion has been working tirelessly to restore her voice and stamina so she can take to the stage once more, and sources reveal the determined songstress is nearly there and is planning a triumphant return next year.
Sources said the 57 year old My Heart Will Go On star, who disclosed her battle with devastating stiff person syndrome in December 2022, is recovering better than anticipated.
The widow of her former manager, René Angélil, and mum of his sons René-Charles, 24, and 14 year old twins Nelson and Eddy, demonstrated her progress in a July 25 video post of her dancing in the studio whilst listening to Sebastian Ingrosso's remix of A New Day, featuring Dion.

"She's doing great, her health is on track and she's hitting the high notes again," said an insider to RadarOnline.com. "She's gently rehearsing at home and continuing with her physical therapy to treat her SPS. She's moving around pretty good, and her voice sounds wonderful, thanks to all the vocal exercises she's been doing."
"People can't believe she's doing so well so soon. Of course, she still has her bad days, but she's getting stronger."
The remix is just the beginning, noted the source, adding that the Canadian-born songbird wants to perform next year. "That's her dream and she's working hard to achieve it. She's doing what she needs to speed up her comeback," shared the insider.
It was reported thatDion was forced to cancel her Courage World Tour three years ago due to crippling SPS, a rare nerve disorder that causes rigidity and muscle spasms, making walking difficult.
Despite suffering from muscle spasms that made walking a challenge, she managed to perform the song Hymne à l'amour live at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics' opening ceremony. This came after a challenging decade for her, which included the loss of her 73 year old husband to throat cancer in 2016, leaving her to bring up their three sons on her own.
There was also a period when friends were concerned about Dion's erratic behaviour, such as wandering around Paris in her pyjamas, posting nude selfies on social media and other odd antics. In one instance, she was seen making fists and growling at fans.
However, an insider revealed: "The good news is Celine seems to be back on track and she's making music again. She's already been at rock bottom. The only way out is up."
In a conversation with Vogue, Celine shared her experience of first noticing the symptoms of her illness while on the Taking Chances tour in 2008. “I started having trouble controlling my voice. It would go high and then spasm. As a singer, you immediately go to the ENT,” she recalled.
Despite undergoing thorough examinations, doctors couldn’t find any issues with her vocal cords. When she finally received a diagnosis, Celine was surprisingly relieved. "It might sound strange, but when I was diagnosed, I felt a sense of relief. It meant I could finally stop fighting the illness and start working with it," she said.
Sharing her condition with the public lifted a huge weight off her shoulders. "It’s been a heavy burden, but now that it’s out in the open, I can focus on my reality, and that’s been so liberating. My happiness has returned."
