Riley Keough and Ben Smith-Petersen have quietly expanded their family. A rep has confirmed that the pair recently welcomed their second child, though no details about the baby’s name or gender have been shared.

Keough, 36, and Smith-Petersen, 34, first crossed paths on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2012. They began dating the following year during reshoots in Australia, later getting engaged in 2014 and marrying in Napa Valley in 2015.

Their first child, a daughter named Tupelo, was born via surrogate in August 2022 but remained a secret until Smith-Petersen hinted at her existence while reading a letter from Keough at Lisa Marie Presley’s funeral in January 2023.

"Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters," Smither-Peterson read on behalf of his wife.

"Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart."

Now, the Daisy Jones & The Six star and her stuntman husband are officially a family of four after a source told Page Six that Riley is now a proud mum-of-two.

Riley previously opened up about the instant certainty she felt about her relationship with husband Ben. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2023, she revealed that by their second date, she had already pictured a future with him.

"When I met my husband, he came out of the gas station on our second date and I thought, ‘I’m going to marry him and have kids with him,’" she recalled.

The Daisy Jones & The Six star, daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough, said it wasn’t a matter of knowing every detail of the future, but rather an unshakable certainty about their connection.

"I just knew. We didn’t even say ‘I love you’ yet,” she added, describing the rare clarity between them that came without words.

The actress and singer explained that while she had no way of predicting the twists and turns ahead, she felt confident in her instincts about Ben.

In August 2023, Riley revealed the name of her daughter, having paid tribute to her late grandfather and late brother with the names that she chose for the now three-year-old.

Riley - who's the eldest grandchild of the late Elvis Presley - welcomed her daughter Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen, in August 2022. A year later, she announced her name and spoke about having used a surrogate to have her first child.

Announcing her daughter's name for the first time publicly, the actress shared the significance behind the decision. She noted that her daughter's first name references Elvis' birthplace of Tupelo in Mississippi.

Riley said she chose the name when it wasn't "well-known" or associated with her family, prior to the biopic Elvis (2022) being released.

She said: "I was like 'this is great because it's not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family - it's not like Memphis or something." Riley however teased that after the film's release she then heard the name constantly.

And it was shared with the outlet that Tupelo's middle name pays tribute to Riley's late brother Benjamin Storm Keough. The late musician, who was her younger brother, passed away in 2020, aged 27. Benjamindied by suicide.

Riley also spoke to the outlet about her daughter being born via surrogate. She said about surrogacy during the recent interview: "I think it's a very cool, selfless, and incredible act that these women do to help other people."
