Emmerdale fans know there's some huge scenes on the way on the ITV soap after recent scenes and spoilers.

But according to theories and hints there could be a lot more drama and chaos on the way before the year is out ahead of autumn and winter storylines officially being announced. Tom's deadly comeuppance?

We know that Belle Dingle and Tom King's harrowing domestic abuse storyline will reach a conclusion some point soon, with dramatic scenes airing this coming week. But how will Tom leave and will he face justice?

After his coercive control and phsycial abuse towards Belle was finally exposed to villagers, Tom only has a few people on his side. With more than one person keen to see him pay, some fans are convinced he will be killed off.

That said they hope he is arrested and faces justice, while Belle is yet to report her abusive husband to the police. Given things take a drastic turn this week, might there be a deadly twist for one of the pair?

Some fans are also worried recent scenes could have teased a death for Amelia Spencer, who is supporting Tom and helping him spy on Belle. She believes Tom loves her and that Belle has lied about the abuse, but could she end up paying the price?

Ross Barton return reason 'sealed'

We know that Ross Barton is returning to the show in the coming weeks, with actor Michael Parr reprising the role. Ross has been away from the village for six years, so what brings him back?

While some fans have wondered whether it's linked to aunt Moira Dingle's brain tumour diagnosis, others think a sad death twist is on the way. Ross has been with former character Rebecca White since he left, while it hasn't been confirmed she is returning.

So if Ross is returning alone, has something happened to Rebecca or have they split? Viewers are fearing Rebecca will be killed off in a death twist leading to Ross' comeback.

Caleb and Ruby's daughter 'revealed'

There's been a number of mentions of Caleb and Ruby Miligan's mystery daughter Stephanie in the past week. Most viewers had no idea she even existed as there's only ever been one or two mentions of the pair having another child other than Nicky.

This week was the first time she was named and actually spoken about, with hints of her whereabouts. It seems she is estranged from her parents for a mystery reason, with them saying how she doesn't want to be near them and Ruby claimed she'd messed her daughter up.

With more to be revealed about the character, fans are convinced she will soon debut on the show. This will mean viewers finally seeing who she is, with a backstory no doubt explored.

Dingle comeback

With the return of Ross confirmed and a Christmas arrival teased, some fans think a Dingle favourite will make her return amid the death of Zak. Viewers think Ross' ex Debbie Dingle will return to the show for good.

It's not been confirmed and actress Charley Webb has ruled this out in the past, but fans "can't shake the feeling" Cain Dingle's daughter will soon head back to the village. If not Debbie, could another Dingle be on their way back home?
