Gogglebox stars leave fans stunned with rare mention of unseen family member

Send Push

Gogglebox stars the Siddiquis made a rare mention of a missing family member that has never been seen on the show.

The Channel 4 show was back for another entertaining instalment on Friday night (September 20) with the usual TV watchers giving their insight on the week's best programming. Covering a range of shows, it was a rare moment from the Siddiquis household that caught some viewers off guard.

The family, which consists of dad Sid and his sons Raza, Umar and Baasit have been a part of the show for an incredible eleven years. But the mum of the family has never been seen on the show and is rarely mentioned.

In the latest episode, however, the sons spoke about who they think is the better child in their mother's eyes. Discussing how they gift their mum, one of them mentioned how she loves tupperware.

This led one of the sons to admit that they recently purchased tupperware for their mum which made her estatic. Laughing at the admission, it was clear that they have a close relationship with their mum.

Seeing the sweet exchange, one viewer quickly said: "That's the first time I've ever heard them mention their Mum."

The Siddiquis have been a part of Gogglebox since the show first launched back in 2013. They are currently the only family members who have been on the show since the beginning.

Talking to Radio Times last year, Sid, 78, said: "When it started, we didn't think it would last even a year. It’s crept up on us as well.

"We’ve been doing this for 10 years. You know, you have to tell yourself to wake up and say it is weird!"
