Jurgen Klopp donated an incredible £84,000 to to mark his return to the club. The former boss has returned to Merseyside this weekend ahead of the Reds’ title celebrations.
Liverpool will lift the trophy this weekend after their final match of the season against winners . had promised to be in attendance but has also had a number of other duties to fulfil over the past few days.
Klopp also attended the LFC Foundation’s Gala Ball at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday having been named an ambassador of the charity. And Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan announced that the former boss donated a huge €100,000 (£84k) to help the charity’s work in the community.
Attention will now turn to Liverpool’s celebrations, with Klopp determined to make the most of it. Speaking in a video shared on the club’s social media channels, he said: “Hello. So now I’m back, back in Liverpool.
“Back here in the wonderful cathedral for the Liverpool Foundation. Finally. Too me a year to find a way back. But, now I’m here. What a weekend ahead. Wow.

“I heard the city will be buzzing. I’m pretty sure it will be and I see it from a different perspective. From a very good perspective. From your perspective. I told you on my last day from now on, I will be one of you.
“Yeah, okay, maybe standing in a black suit is maybe not the best example but at the weekend, I’ll try to be in as much as you let me. I’ll try to be part of it as much as you let me. So congratulations for last season.

But speaking at the LFC Foundation gala, he rejected that speculation out of hand. He said: “I’m not going to Roma. If you read any rumours about me taking a coaching job in the next few years it’s b*******. You can be the first to say it.”
