A lucky Brit has become £33million richer after claiming the life-changing EuroMillions Jackpot on Friday.
Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, has today confirmed it received a claim for the massive sum won by a UK ticket-holder in the draw on Friday 5 July, 2024.
The lucky winner, whose identity has not yet been shared, matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars to bank the entire £33,078,306.60 jackpot. The draw also saw another UK player win £1m by matching the code – HPMD 34450 - in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker.
But another huge £15m jackpot, which was won on Saturday, is yet to be claimed. Saturday’s Lotto draw carried on the winning weekend with a single ticket-holder banking the entire £15million special ‘Must Be Won’ Lotto jackpot. All six main numbers – 11, 18, 24, 37, 47, 59 – were mached.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What a wonderful weekend, with a whooping wealth of winners walking away with a win. Over two million prizes have been won in just these two draws across two days which is astonishing, and we urge all players to check their tickets so they can see if they are a Lotto or EuroMillions winner.
“The big EuroMillions winner will now receive our full support through the validation process and help to enable them to quickly start to enjoy their truly life-changing win. And we look forward to meeting the £15M Lotto jackpot winner once they give us a call.
"It’s going to be a busy week with five new millionaires made just this weekend, but the team and I get great pleasure from helping to change National Lottery players lives every day.”
