Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen struggles as fans raise concern after TV appearance

Amanda Owen, 50, quickly when she first graced our screens seven years ago - but despite how well she manages to balance her work on the farm with taking care of her nine children - rarely with a hair out of place - things haven't always been easy for her over the last few years.

first met her husband Clive, 69, when she was only 21 years old and training to work as a shepherdess - her natural good looks and height meant she first tried her hand at modelling, but didn't enjoy the career whatsoever. The pair quickly formed a romance, although there is a large age gap between them. Clive is 19 years older than Amanda and already had been married, and had two children when they first met.

Their life together on Ravenseat Farm captured the attention of the public and their show swiftly became a big hit for Channel Five, but despite their professional successes, the couple were struggling behind closed doors and announced they had separated in 2022.

Clive and Amanda are coming back together for a new series of their spinoff show - Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids - but on a recent TV appearance the Yorkshire Shepherdess took part in left some fans concerned about how she is doing.

Amanda appeared on Lorraine and discussed her relationship with Clive, candidly admitting that "it's not all sunshine".

"It's about moving forward. We've got plenty to amuse ourselves. There's space," she said. There's room to get away from each other, if we're being absolutely brutally honest here.

"If we got on like a house on fire we wouldn't be separate would we? But the fact of the matter is, we've got nine children, I think people think we lose track of the fact we do reality, reality comes with its ups and downs."

Amanda continued: 'It's not all sunshine and spring time. That's the reality, the reality is, we are just getting on with our lives and making it up as we go along."

Some of her fans were quick to voice their worries about Amanda on social media, per the , with one writing: "'Is Amanda ok? Something doesn't seem right" and many others pointing out that in their opinion the popular TV star didn't seem very well or her usual self.

Despite her popularity, life in the limelight is never completely easy - and when details about Amanda's relationship with another man, who had worked as her web designer, came to light in 2023 her personal life was put under new scrutiny.

Robert Davis, 71, was married to someone else during his relationship with Amanda - Yasumi, 56. When his wife found about their romance she was left devastated, and has been candid publicly about her thoughts on Amanda, who she accused in an interview with of "not caring" about the damage she had done to their 12 year long marriage and living a "double life".

"He rang Amanda in front of me and told her I knew about their affair and that it was over," investment banker Yasumi said.

"He said they’d been having an affair for a few years. But instead of acknowledging the pain I was suffering, he was more concerned about protecting her TV career. She didn’t care how I felt and didn’t show any compassion.

"I’d watched Our Yorkshire Farm and couldn’t help but be impressed by her. She portrayed herself as a wife and a mother, devoted to family, hard-working and an inspiration to others.

"But she’s been lying to the British public and living a double life."

However, Amanda has insisted that her web designer boyfriend - who she has since reportedly split up with - was never a secret from her husband and that Clive was actually the one who suggested they would hit it off.

"'I never set out looking for another relationship. Rob [Davies] was a friend that Clive and I had both known for a long time. He put together the farm website and the digital aspect of the business, everything that we couldn’t do.

"What he offered was conversation rather than confrontation, and Clive knew about it from the very beginning – he actually suggested Rob and I would be a good match," she told the , adding: "At that point, a few years ago now, and was openly dating. It wasn’t a secret, everyone roundabout knew, even the children."

For his part, Clive said he didn't blame anyone for the breakdown of his marriage but himself, explaining his "anger drove Amanda away" and that the couple were engaged in regular arguments.

He also admitted that he had been enduring a period of depression, which led to him drinking too much and that he was envious of Amanda's popularity and professional success.
